100% agree.. Some dealers are great. Some are awful. Not sure what Mazda has done differently from Ford but I never had a negative experience at any of their dealerships. Might've just been luck. Volvo and Infiniti I expected being more premium brands to have a slightly better experience and indeed that was the case.

With you on the stock tweeters. Adding a 250W sub under the rear cargo floor and taking all the bass out of the factory speakers did a ton for sound quality overall.

Guns are always a good buy! Get the wife anything cool?
Got her a Stainless S&W 642 UL snub nose with Robins Egg Blue Laser grip. I put lighter trigger springs in it before she shot it. After 2 hours and never shooting a gun she had 14/15 rounds in a 6 inch circle at 7 yards double action. Perfect for her as aiming is put red dot on target, pull trigger. She's 68 and never shot a gun till now. Very proud of her. Not cheap but she's worth it, she lets me drive her Coyote!
My Mazda dealer sent me out oil less after an oil change once. I have owned more Mazda's than any other make. Love a rotary!

Can't go wrong with a 682! Absolute classic. Now you gotta get her a Henry lever action in the same caliber to match for the 25+ yard ranges ;)

That's crazy, no oil. Ouch.

If I were to say I hate something it's the paint quality on the front bumper and hood. They look like they've been through hell. Other then that the stuff I dislike sometimes I did to it myself, like get rims that don't deal well with pot holes, etc.
The common consensus is that Ford did a lousy job of painting these cars, but when we had a parking lot scrape fixed that some old guy in a Honda put on our front fender, I asked the body shop about chips in the paint on the front and whether it was bad paint. They said it wasn't the quality of the paint. They have experienced the same with the ones they've repaired and painted with paint that doesn't chip on other cars. They think it's the shape of the front of the Fiesta that causes the chips to happen so badly.

I go with the quality issues with the paint or the application, my '16 has a single 1/8 X 1/16 inch chip with 50K miles.

I hate that the ford fiesta st is discontinued here in North America so many replacement ST specific parts will be discontinued and will cost a fortune. An example is the Cadillac xlr that had led taillights from the factory. You can't change the led's when it goes out, so you have to buy the whole unit. The replacement, if you can find it, costs about 1500 usd.
I think legally Ford has to make parts available for at least 10 yrs (I forget where I heard this, maybe someone will confirm or correct me)

I hate that I have to leave it at home and take my Mazda 5 to go away for a 3-day weekend. Why? This trip we packed a lot because we're on a 3 day birthday weekend and the PA RenFaire. Moreover, we do thrift stores and antique stores so we need the space. I already picked up a large item for the garden.

How to reset oil light wrench:
Push the start button without holding down the brake or clutch to enter accessory mode. Then push down the gas and brake pedal as far as you can for 30 seconds.
People can search "oil change light" or "wrench light" or "wrench oil change light" like so...
https://www.google.com/search?q=site:fiestastforum.com+oil+change+light
...and yes, I've been manually resetting every 10k since purchased new in 2016.

My 2016 displays no messages, but the light does go out after switching the ignition back on. Dealer, as with anything more complicated than doing the oil change itself, has no clue.

Fortunately it's cheaper to reuse the same parts across vehicle lines. Body parts and wire harnesses however remain unique to the model and even sub-model.

A little different than what you were referring to, I think automobile manufacturers also required to warranty exhaust parts for significantly longer. It's why the OEM exhaust lasts way, way, way wayyyy longer compared to even the (claimed) aftermarket stainless 304 (and of course 409) exhaust parts. (Besides composition, wall thickness is an often overlooked factor.)

Love the vehicle. Nothing I really HATE about it, but there are some gripes that jeopardize additional repeat business.
More of a design issue that salt water sits in certain places, like the rear rear well "lip" and several other body locations. Horrible for rust.
Design issue aside, paint thickness and quality/consistency has been brought up multiple times.
Salt-Away, used with marine equipment, has been a huge help. Needless to say, must be strategic about its use/application.
Since it's practically all aluminum, been using the motorcycle whenever possible.
That's the only reason there isn't >70k on this vehicle now.

Ya my 2014 doesnā€™t display a message either but will always disappear after reset. Good luck that sounds frustrating.

Love the car, hate the squeaks and rattles. And why does the damn defroster have to blast me with cold air for 30 seconds every time I turn it on before it finally gets to the correct setting. Even if the car is fully warmed up!
