No , it has an issue of coming off or so I have heard. It’s only affixed with double sided tape. So guys resort to sinking a screw or two to hold it again just going by what others have said.
Oh! Well, that's better than it not being able to come back off. Lmao.
I didnt know you were the one doing the rear camber plates (I never put 2 and 2 together). I bought the DNA ones like a year and a half ago, I wouldve rather helped a fellow Fiesta owner out, my fault brother. Any chance you could make some rear plates that have more than -2* for camber? I know there were some issues with the sensor, but I didn't know if anyone ever got around that or not.

The issue with the sensor is you have to remove your backing plate. As far as over 2 my new batch will probably come in right at 2 possibly a little more but I shoot for 1.8-2.0 because it seems to be the optimal compromise. A few people want more but most are like- 2 or less.

Is there a way to actually get more than -2 tho? Say, -3.5?

Dpro, the Maxton has an issue for not being able to come back off? I've never heard that. It's good to know tho, because that is the only extension I'm really liking right now (except for the old Mountune one). Back to the drawing board I guess.
feeling your pain, i was pretty put off about that too before my oem wing cracked due to wing risers, but replacing it with an aftermarket wing i got - drilling isnt an issue for me anymore

well there is a thickness issue because to get more negative camber one would really have to make one side super thick . I already have to go pretty thin to get to -2 seeing as ithe only way is to make the opposite side thicker ? It gets tricky as well as you would space out to far from your ABS sensor. This is why you can’t run the factory pebble shield.

(Yes it‘s really a pebble/Rock shield rather than the commonly mistaken term dust shield. If it was a dust shield it would be on the front side not the back side:ROFLMAO:)

Are there any wings/spoilers/extensions/whatever that are functional for our cars? I realize nobody is likely sending a Fiesta into a windtunnel but anyone with track experience that has noticed a difference?

The M Sport wing, but it take some modifications to the rear hatch (aka welding into the rear hatch). Nothing that attaches with sticky tape is going to be functional.

Yeah I realize that, I'm good with bolting/welding. I'll look at that one. Thank you.

FYI, not an aerodynamicist, but a lot of experience with wings on race cars. Generally, if you asking if they add downforce, no these are decoration only. Even a full wing stuck up in the airstream may add some downforce, but the tradeoff is untested drag. It is a guess at every level without CFD or wind tunnel time. And then....you have to quantify what you think you see in CFD or the tunnel with actual road /track time correlations. Surely a piece of anything placed in the wind stream at the right angle may produce downforce, but again drag is the issue and then is it useful downforce? My suggestion, just get the one that makes your happy place happy!

That one, for the Mk7 R5 cars, and the one for the actual factory team Mk7 WRC cars, are the only ones likely to have some science/testing behind them, but yeah, depending on speeds/conditions, it's all a guess.

Team O'Neil said that they used the R5 wing on their national level, O2WD class FiST (the one piloted by ACP years ago) solely to keep the car more level over big, higher speed jumps on the stages, and prevent it from nosediving, and nothing more, so [dunno].

A primer in aero-tools on a rally car (not bound by FIA or SCCA rules)...with a crazy driver-controlled rear wing.

Does anyone happen to have a pic of the Airtec wing on a US spec Fiesta? Only pics I can find are on the 2 door Euro's.

Try this search...there's are some on Facebook but I don't have an account to be able to get the photos for you.
Dang it. I dont have the book of the Face or any social media either, actually. As Bobby Bouche's mom would say......."Its the devil!"

I have the maxton one and the figment definitely wasn’t perfect but not as bad as I would have thought by some other reviews I’ve seen of it. Nothing a heat gun and some clamps can’t fix. It’s been on for about a year and a half with no issues. View attachment 38120 View attachment 38121
Did you make that Rear splitter / Diffuser yourself?
