Ok so I thought I would post this here besides my build thread. I have been following this brace line for a long time . They have not been available from a stateside vendor. Ron@Whoosh had mentioned that he was going to get them around a year ago. I was getting ancy and almost went ahead and ordered one from a UK company. Then a Month or so ago Ron announced he had made the deal and would be bringing in the Swave Summit product line. I literally ordered one the minute they showed up on his site. 6E33053C-7D07-4444-B0D9-9B28D256ED9D.jpeg

So lets get to it. This is a really nice piece . Triple Tube Forged aluminum oval tubing weighs practically nothing. Seriously like 3.5 pounds max. Putting it on did not take us long had to to shift my control arms around a little due to my car being lowered. Ya probably gonna raise her up a bit. Especially since I am putting on 17’s with my new RT660 tires.
Anyways sidetracking there:LOL: The brace went on in like 10-15 minutes max. 04C33CEA-FB7E-44A4-AF38-6E159591E6CC.jpeg Notice the clearance of my S280 Hot side pipe its like they built it for it. Also notice how snug up to the crossmember it sits and runs just under my Vibratechnics RMM.

Now onto driving impressions. Wow just wow, Front end feels tight and connected. Hit the gas and go, no excessive TQ steer from the S280 and believe me the S280 could pull the car around like nobody’s business especially when accelerating through a corner. Now it just digs in and goes man with a LSD and this this thing is gonna be a monster.
Oh and I have just finished up my 91 pump gas tune with Adam@TunePlus and for only 91 octane and vdyno readouts of 284HP I can’t wait for the 93 Tune.
I should also say this improved turn in ( like it needed to be improved? ) :ROFLMAO:
All in all awesome brace!

Mine will show up tomorrow * I hope it will not interfere with the ATP pipe! Looks great! I'm going from 2 point to 4 point. I wonder if I'll even notice the difference! It does look awesome though!

Unfortunately this became available literally while waiting for my whoosh 2 pt. Gonna rock that for a bit but this definitely looks like it fits beautifully.

Oh man, I wish they would make a two piece brace- I can't use a four in my autocross class, and I'm tired of banging into pebbles with the Pierce

Looks great. Does anyone know how much (if any) additional ground clearance this gives over the Pierce 2pt?

It’s tricky to determine only because both cars have to be at equal height. Most of us have different aftermarket suspension i.e springs or adjustable coilovers .

I mean we could measure the distance from the mount point to how low under the chassis the brace hangs. That would definitely show which one has more clearance. I will ask my friend Danny to measure his when he gets a chance as he has the Pierce.

Though honestly he has actually nicknamed his Pierce rock dozer. He has caught Rocks so many times with the Pierce that he has replaced it three times. Now he takes it off straightens it and puts it back on if its not too bad. :ROFLMAO:
That speaks mounds , no pun intended.

I am actually gonna compare it the TB for clearance as another friend has the TB.

Did you change out your lower control arm bolts due the being torque to yield?

No I did reuse mine because A: there were none available locally and B: My car only has 14k on it and when they came out they looked new. Several members here have reused theirs as well. I will keep an eye on them though to be safe. Perhaps order some and change them out down the road. I drive my car hard as it is so I tend to change stuff out on a regular basis . For instance I did my brakes around 6 months ago but I am putting in EBC Yellows and their Black slotted Rotors because bigger Turbo. I will probably wind up with bigger front calipers in another 6 months. So ya I will be keeping an eye on them.
Oh and I am about to change out my coilovers as well and they have only been on the car a year and half. Probably around 5k miles on them.

Torque specs are 45 ft lbs and then 180 degree rotation
Thought the Lower control arm bolts were more than that*

yes, but just a touch!
46.466417060875 ft pounds (63 nm) and then 180°
Ya seriously not worried about a 1.5 ft lb difference. As like I stated before I will be monitoring it.

yeah, it's a minimal difference, and I was being a smartass.
I had a hard time getting the full 180° in because of how the car was sitting

the fact that it only slightly slips past the RMM is attractive!
