I am now the owner of a tuxedo black ST. I was driving a Fiat ABARTH before this. I miss the torque of the ABARTH, but I am hoping I can make the ST faster. I will definitely be getting an exhaust system, because the car is too quiet. Hopefully a tune will satisfy my need for a speedy takeoff..... any suggestions are welcome.

First and foremost in Stock form the FiST is torque limited in the first two gears so a Tune or tuner like the AP from COBB or the Cute gizmo Livernois has will wake this car up and really make you smile when to nail 2nd cuz first is just to get you rolling LOL

Welcome! I don't know much about the Fiat Abarth but I can't imagine it has that much more torque than even a stock FiST, but the Cobb AP will make a huge difference.

Looked it up...the Abarth has significantly less tq, so I wonder what it really is that you're missing? Maybe the gearing is shorter?

What rodmoe said. In first and second gear torque is limited by the programming of the stock ecu. That will make it feel less powerful despite the real numbers.

I parked next to a 500 the other day and man are those things tiny in the booty wow it like stopped where my rear door started no wonder they fly... My FiST oinked when I walked up to it to get in and leave I think it felt big comapred to the Fiat.. LOL

The ABARTH had only 160 hp and 170 torque. When you stepped on the gas it was like a little rocket, there is hesitation in the ST.. Kinda drives me crazy...that and the soundless exhaust.

How much does the Fiat weight? Those numbers aren't too bad for a car that small, IMO.

I believe it did. And the exhaust is angry.

Welcome, Wicked Fun! Must be coincidence that another Fiat Abarth gave way to a FiST...I spotted one yesterday in the used car lot at my Ford dealer. So, I swung in to ask the Sales Manager how he got the Abarth...it was a trade for a new Focus ST. If they would have had any FiST's on the lot...

Anyway...enjoy your new FiST!

The Abarth is also a 5 spd so the gearing is completely different. As others have mentioned, get an AP which removes the torque truncation in 1st and 2nd. The car feels so much peppier afterwords

No wonder you think the exhaust is too quiet, those Abarth's have wicked exhausts from the factory. As others have stated an Accessport will really wake the car up so I'd recommend that first with a rmm a close second. And welcome!

I heard an Abarth go by a few weeks back and the exhaust note was quite awesome.
