Took my fiesta st for the second time to button willow raceway.
First Time I went my car had full bolt ons on a 91 tune by randy.
Everything else stock.

I noticed that track day this car needed the sway bar upgrade by eibach and the RMM upgrade!
So I purchased both Cobb RMM and sways bars,
Then my team dynamic pro race 1.2 17x8 came in, so I order a set of 235/40 federal rsr.
Then randy finished up my e30 tune.

After that I did a track day at spring mountain raceway and a few time on the track I had huge brake fade. So it was time for a more aggressive pad and fluid. I also did the SS brake lines.
The r4s pad seemed like the best fit for my street tires and I went with motul rbf600.

This track day my goal was for a 2:10 on the new set up. My best time on the previous set up was 2:16xxx.

I did a 2:09.1. After reviewing my track day there is a lot of time on the table and I am hoping for a 2:07 on street tires and stock suspension. Sub 2s on an R-comp and better coilover shouldn't be too difficult.

Here is the video of my PB lap. ENJOY :)
Ill post picture tomorrow also.

Nice video, minus the wind noise. ;)

Lol @ the save over lost hill.

How do you like the rear sway bar on track? How much negative camber are you running up front? Car seems to have really great turn in.

I forgot my gopro and mounts so i had to mount it outside. learned that in car videos; sound and look better.
LOL the session before that I went two off in that same spot.

I freaking LOVE the rear sway, helps the car rotate so much.

i kept the camber specs stock, since im running stock coils and street tires. i dont think i would be able to dial in the car better than Ford did on this set up.
I could be wrong, but the car handles great with this setup.

Very light wheels with R comps and coilovers will help a huge amount but you might want to duct some air to the brakes as you will generate a lot more heat.

You can run more negative camber on the street just fine and I recommend narrower tires on wider rims, well proven to be faster in most situations, and weigh less.

If you want to really drop some weight you can run very low cost 15x8 or with a bit of work 15x9 and 225 R comps, my setup is around 31 lbs per corner and my street setup is 37 and I can feel a big difference between them in all aspects of performance. To get into the 13lb, 15x9, roll formed, $124 wheels you need to get the hubs bored to 4x100, rotors as well, just so you know.

If really serious about the track and it seems you certainly are, lowering the weight of very thing you can always helps but the unsprung and rotational weight will make the biggest improvement.

There is a 6 piston BBK available and soon 4 piston for the rear that fit under the 15" wheels.

BUT, just doing the front WW BBK with GT rotors and the right pads and pads for the stock rears with 15,16 or 17 wheels that are light and the widest tires that are well supported will be easier, less money, etc.. and fast when done right.

To same money on track tires buy used, I have for many years, John Bergett in WI is where I get mine, now around $400 shipped, shaved, heat cycled, 85-90% tread left, fresh from race teams.
