2015 ST w/ factory Michelins

I went to look at a 2015 Fiesta ST today. I'm picking it up Tuesday!! Had a question for you guys. I was under the impression that this came with Potenzas from the factory, so I honestly didn't pay too much attention to the tires. After the test drive and looking the car over some more I noticed it had Michelins on it. Is there a chance that this is an all-season tire? Wasn't that an option for the 2015 model?

Supposedly they offered an all season tire option for the 2015 but not sure which. If you got PS3 consider it a good deal.

That's what I'm hoping. I was ready to purchase some tires for this car before I even went to see it today. Maybe I wont have to now. I'm going to call the dealership tomorrow and have someone take a closer look. I haven't found anything about this online.

If PS AS/3 you are golden. Damn fine AS tires, really more of a 3 season but in Carefree not an issue unless you go skiing nearby but with good driving and the nannies engaged, well kept roads, still no real worries

Not sure how bad the winters get in Ohio but you'd probably be better off getting a good all-season tire. I've never been sold on winter only tires. Depending on how many miles you've put on your stock summers you could probably sell them and break even on the price of a good a/s set.

Just a update the Mich.AS3 tires I have Are less than fun in the snow. Great in the wet but once there is more than 3 inches of snow they are no better than any other 3 season tire I have had.. No where near the a snow tire in the snow and I have had a few of these .. First time you drive them in the snow pay attention and learn the car and the tire... just saying

For me sticking with summer tires spring thru fall then switch to dedicated winter tires for winter. My thinking Is maximum potential performance all year round.

Yup agreed though I will use the ST on dry day now the truck will get used for the not so nice days as I needed to move my Blizzaks to our other DD and move the ST to a more retired type car with the truck and another car we have for winter. Thought I could try the 3 season tires and now I know Snow tires for snow without a doubt..

I have decades of winter experience and only had two sets of snow tires ever and one set was for a rally car, the other a built Forster XT a few years back and they were a lighter duty, high performance tire I could run in the spring and fall, great for an AWD

In this little car if we start using it in the snow I will buy something like that again or just get the best snow tires I can and go have some fun like I did in my turbo Matrix on back roads in the mountains on just all seasons it was great with an LSD

My car has the LSD and On these tires it is not as good as it was with no LSD and SNOW tires last winter... That said I would say if you are in the SNOW get SNOW tires. My Mich A/S3 are not much good in the SNOW...

I could of been more clear.

I would get some ultra high performance winter tires but not hard core snow tires, depending on where I lived of course, or all out high end snow tires if I want to do some winter performance driving. I bought the A/S3 but do not plan to drive this car in the snow unless get caught out in it unexpectedly.

My '15 purchased last week in Canada came with the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Summer tires fyi. Just thought I would add my $0.02. If you push the car hard in summer you should get summer tires. Of course like rodmoe stated, if you live in the snowbelt down south or anywhere in the north you owe it to yourself, your passenger and your car to get winter tires.

winter in ohio is interesting, at least up here by Lak Erie.
IMO tjere is no suc thing as a good all season tire, they're three season at best.

I'm a summer tire/ dedicated winter tire believer myself

I live in SoCal and I wanted the A/S 3 all season tire but the cars out here did not receive that option. I have them on my other car and love them. Love the longer treadlife. Never liked the life of the OEM tires on any car.

Have you driven with the RE050's and compared to the AS3's? For that matter, has anyone gotten a solid compare of the 2?
