Strange noise arround 1500-2000rpm?

Hi Guys!

i am new here,and bought my first Fiesta ST180 2 months ago , and noticed a strange noise arround 1500-2000 rpm any gear, is it not like a whinning , cant really describe (whohhww-whohhww) found a lot post about almost a same noise , and a video almost a same mine also noticable arround from 1500-2000rpm , soo my question is anybody know like 100% what is it ? and how can we make it dissappered? a bit annoying 🀦🏼😀

are you talking about the fwfwfwfwfwfw sound? If so, thats a lil bit of turbo flutter - the turbo is spinning, you close the throttle and theres not enough pressure for the diverter to open so theres a temporary increase of pressure and resistance back against the compressor turbine

Hi,

If you mean the weird whirring as the revs are being let off, I have the same issue. Were you able to fix it? It has been driving me nuts for the past 3 months, had timing belt, aux belt, water pump and a bunch of pulleys replaced and still didn't fix my issue.

No, car still does it. Hasn't ever seemed to affect anything. The fist build quality is something I wasn't super prepared for, so I am probably just too picky to ever be "happy" with that aspect of the car. It's a beater though so I try to stop worrying about it.
