2016 Fiesta ST OEM RMM different?

so I was getting the typical engine movement woes with the OEM RMM and I bought and LOVE the Cobb RMM..

My OEM RMM however seems different than others I have seen around here. they seem to have added a bit of rubber that I can pull out of the mount with a pair of plyers. I wonder fi this was thier attempt at fixing the OEM issues.

Possibly, from videos I've seen (TST and the stages he went through) it seemed like my 16 didn't bang as hard at all. I mean its still there, but it didn't seem to be as bad as everyone made it out to be so I wouldn't be surprised if this is how they tried to fix it.

Pretty amazing that their fix is sticking a little piece of rubber into an extra hole lol

my 2014 OE RMM has that piece of rubber.

I replaced my 16 RMM with a Boomba one yesterday. Just looked and mine has that little piece of rubber in it as well.
