15 focus st to 15 fiesta st

i like the cobb and mountune versions. Not too much vibration and they get the job done.

ive been doing some reading on here and noticed some people are having issues with the mountune rmm making noise and needing grease possibly, is this exclusive to their mount or does the cobb experience this too?

tough to say after just one day of limited driving, i can say for sure that the focus had more pick up stock for stock but the fiesta definitely handles better

Curious what people find worthwhile mods wise on these

My, very mild, "must-have" mods:
-Short Shift Kit
-Lightweight Wheels and Sports/Summer tires
-Stage 1 Tune
-Drop in panel filter

Other VERY popular mods (no personal experience):
-upgraded Intercooler
-stiffer Rear Motor Mount (RMM)
-Chassis stiffening
-suspension upgrades (stiffer springs/OEM shocks or coilovers. Stiffer anti-roll bars don't SEEM to be popular, at least not before springs or coilovers or chassis stiffening)
-Catback or Turboback Exhaust (2.5" to 3")
-Custom tune (vs. "Off the shelf")
-strategic lightening (e.g. remove or replace spare tire, rear seat removal, etc.)

and other drool-worthy items...(e.g. turbo upgrades and/or Ethanol/WMI fueling/tuning)

Yeah i think im going to stick to a drop in filter, custom tune and intercooler, just have to figure out the tuner part of it

Should have mentioned:

I guess you could say it is cosmetic, but the "Sound Symposer Delete" mod is very popular also.

Several methods are available. Here is the one I used, credit BoostBumps et al.

yeah i already order the SSD, the FiST is much worse than the Fost with the fake noise, it actually bothers me on the FiST because its much more drony, I need it gone asap haha

Another great mod, but not one done by too many on here, or anywhere it seems (due to the overbearing total expen$e if installed by a tuner, or bother if DIY) is a Quaife, or Wavetrac limited slip differential.
But I just do not see how anyone pushing almost 400 whp to the front wheels (like some on this site do) gets along without one.

I do eventually plan on installing one, especially since this may very well be the last car I ever own in my lifetime, unlike some who can (and do) change their rides up as often as I change socks, sometimes even with $10K+ worth of mods already done to them!

What "400whp getting along without LSD" looks like: Accelerate in perfectly straight lines only (and still pray for grip).

^^^YES, EXACTLY!!

I want one one on factory stock power for the corner exit/handling help, as I do NOT drag race now, and NEVER will with this car.

Another thing i have noticed on here, i see a lot of people removing the horizontal lower grill slats, do these just pop off or are people cutting them off? Also what about the verticals?

Horizontal ones just pop off. Start on one end and move across.

The vertical ones need to be cut.

Thanks! Another weird thing i noticed, on my fost with the keyless entry i would just have to have the key on me and reach for the handle and the doors would unlock, with the fist i have to hit the little black button to get them to unlock, is this normal?

That's the same process for my 2014 FiST. Have to press the button. Except for the hatch. Although I guess you do have to press the hatch button when you lift, as well.

Another question im wondering, on the trim around the front and back side windows, it looks like its wrapped in flat black, if i were to peel this off would it be painted underneath?

well just answered my own question, yes if you peel off the wrap there is paint underneath. was a pain to remove but looks great now. Just have to buff the paint a little because it has a lot of orange peel
