Just got a 2016 FiST a few days ago in Magnetic, anyone happen to know if Cobb already supports it? Anyone tried?

Yep, got a boiler plate response that it was not supported. [emoji53]

It'll happen in due time. I had my 2015 for about 3 months before COBB released the update for the new model year.

Did anything change or was it the same maps though? Looking through the updates / changes to the maps they haven't really changed much.

I would think if it's the same ECU, it shouldn't make a difference. Not any engine changes in 2016 vs 2015 as far as I know.

Thinking about getting the Cobb AP and seeing if it'll let me flash it anyways.

Everything was identical. It would probably be best to just sit tight and wait for COBB to release the update. Maybe COBB Tuning can chime in...

They should have a return policy of 30 days. Get the runner from map performance you Adams tune way better then cobs tune

We are currently working on 2016 Fiesta ST support! Even though they don't make physical changes to the car, there are typically small ECU changes from year to year. Therefore, we just have to do our due diligence in looking at everything to make sure the car will be properly supported. I don't have a time frame right now, but if you bought an AP3-FOR-001 Fiesta ST Accessport today, you'd just have to do a simple update on your computer at home using AP Manager once support is ready. You can also always email us the vehicle ROM (ECU image) if your vehicle is unsupported and we can add support.

Hey Barry, glad I stumbled upon this thread. I figured there was no difference with regards to the model years and was going to just buy a Fiesta Accessport for my soon to be delivered 2016. Did Cobb give you any updates? I'm anxious to buy one so that I can get mine tuned by Adam... Definitely don't want to brick my ECU.

Not that I know of, still waiting. It won't brick your ECU, it just won't do anything and throw a error saying it's not supported. :/

Thanks, that's terrible though. The 2016s have been out since July and they still don't have them supported... That's a bummer. All of my mods purchased or on the way then have to be put on hold. I wonder what the hold up is.

Probably busy on other platforms, they'll update it, eventually.. Or there's always Livernois Motorsports. They'll probably be able to tune it.

Barry, be sure to update Accessport Manager as well as your firmware and give this a shot! https://static.cobbtuning.com/support/releasenotes/AP3-FOR-001.html

It's a pretty big release that should make a lot of people happy. The marketing team is out at SEMA, and once they get back there'll be an "official" announcement - but I hope you get to enjoy your Accessport now!
