So I just purchaseda new set of 15in wheels and I had planned to purchase a set of Federal 595RS-R 205/50R15 tires but upon doing some additional reading it seems that everything states that 205/55R15 is the recommended tire size for 15in wheels. I just want to make sure that I'm not missing anything and that going with the 205/50R15 isn't going to be any issue other than a bit more wheel gap between the tire and fender. Any input is appreciated.

Now I'm thinking the RS-R 195/50ZR15 might be a better fit. FWIW I don't track my car so this will just be a street setup. While I would prefer to go wider my current budget won't allow it at this time hence the 15x6 wheels.

What's the offset of your wheels?

So I think I’m just say screw it and buy the Federal RS-R’s in 205/50 and see how it goes. Once they are mounted I can report back on any issues.

There won't be issues.

I have the 15" Sparco Assetto Gara wheels.
I bought the Federal RS-R tires in 205/50 but are not mounted yet. I had 205/50 on the wheels previously. It's a wise choice.

Hope that helps in some way
