Will a Sport CAT cause a CEL on MP215?

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a Milltek or Cobra Sport full exhaust system including a downpipe with sports cat for my MP215. I'm quite young so insurance won't let me go to a stage 2+ tune with an inter cooler particularly. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about whether a sports cat will cause a cel on the mk7 St?

I think he meant "Sport Cats" (Less restrictive Catalytic converters?).

Maybe he's asking if a Full exhaust upgrade including hi-flow cats would cause CEL.

Not sure about the UK cars but the North America cars will throw a code unless it is turned off in the AP as part of the tune. At least that is what I have found when I ran a sport cat and full exhaust
