Ambient air temp on dash not working.

Hey so picked up a used Fist and trying to work out all its problems. Above the odometer where it should show the outside air temp just showes two dashed lines and never changes. Any ideas what to check?

Connector and temperature sensor behind the front bumper.
It is on the driver´s side just over of the intercooler.

It's a bitch, you'll probably need to pull the bumper cover (I'm trying to wire some sensors myself behind the grille, and that's the conclusion I came to, though I didn't try to get above the intercooler exactly). I'd try following wires or a diagram and probing it out first to try to see if it's the issue. (if you do in fact need to pull the bumper cover, at least)
