Annoying Interminttent Wiper Relay

Anyone else notice that annoying click from the wiper relay when they are set to intermittent? It doesn't make the noise when in other positions.

I realize that relays click. My wifes Fiesta doesn't click. Same car different results.

I've had a '91 Ford Tempo, '94 Nissan Sentra, '02 Subaru Impreza WRX, and a '00 VW Golf - they all made similar clicking noises when the wipers were on intermittent. That's all I can say.
