Hi all,

I have done every single one of my many upgrades and repairs since I got my FiST new in 2019. The only things I haven’t done are tire swaps (for obvious reasons). My front passenger wheel hub had a stud shear off so I’m going to replace the assembly. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good press kit with the right size? I don’t want to ruin my streak and have a garage do it. Any help will be much appreciated!

You can knock the old stud out easily with a hammer. I’ve always just used a stack of washers & an open ended lugnut to press in new wheel studs. Sellers on Amazon/eBay have fancy wheel stud installer tools that accomplish the same thing. Removal & installation takes 15-20 minutes, including putting the vehicle on jackstands. Very easy job.

Air hammer can punch it out and a stack of washers can draw a new one back in* They also make a tool to draw the stud back in with an impact gun.

Does the hub have to come off for this? or can the broken stud be knocked out with it on the car?

I'm new to the ST but just looking at mine it looks like it can be done easily with the hub on the car.
I have done many wheel studs exactly the way Stubborn Approach described above.
Pretty sure I have done them all without removing a hub assembly.
