the one i have is the isaddle and it seems to be throwing the p0420 code and lighting up the esc light as well. can someone recommend me one that is better than that one? thanks!

If you want just the dongle and use an app for your phone or laptop look at ELM 327 around the $5-$15 (depending on configuration). You can also get the ELM 327 with a switch and use Forscan software to read the proprietary Ford bus. The software is free for now and the dongle is $30-$40 for a premade or you can modify a basic one to add the switch.
