Hey guys,

i had max at rst speed haus install a whoosh BOV adaptor today. It’s basically a spacer so it vent to atmosphere. Since installing it I am getting a ton of flutter, sometimes I will get a regular whoosh after the flutter, and at higher rpm and throttle I got a really loud high pitched chirp noise and then a typical whoosh blow off after that. i have many questions

First of all, the website said it would just give a louder blow off whoosh but said nothing about fluttering. I emailed Ron and he asked for a video of the flutter which I sent him and he hasn’t gotten back to me yet.

second I’ve read many opinions on flutter some people say it’s because of a defective BOV unit some says it’s bad some say it’s okay.

Third I don’t think I’ve ever heard flutter followed by a whooshy blow off I always thought it was one or the other.
Can anyone help ?

The OEM bypass flutters at partial throttle quite a bit. It’s the solenoid opening and closing quickly to vent. It’s just more pronounced since you have a venting to atmosphere vale.

And what about the flutter and the blow off sound both happening? Isn’t it supposed to be one or the other?

Personally I enjoy a little flutter. Don't worry though when I had the the bov spacer it would flutter sometimes.

Right but did it do both? Like it would flutter but then make the blow off right after? I’ve never heard both happening at the same time

If you're really worried do a data log and look a boost levels. I was told but a couple of tuners that the stock BOV has a tendency to crack. Otherwise take you car for a drive and enjoy the sweet bov sounds. Oh you could YouTube some fiesta BOV sounds a compare them to what you have going on. But I'm pretty sure you're good to go.
