It depends on what you mean by BOV... There are 2 different styles of these "BOV" for this car. There is a Legitimate Blow Off Valve, then there are blow off valve plates... Boomba racing makes both. The only time you are going to have to worry about voiding warranty is if the stealership SEES the part. Also, as it was put to me when I first bought my car: "Depending on the stealership you go to, some are actually very nice and OK with aftermarket modifications... If they see the aftermarket mods and they have no proof that the mods are the cause of the issues that your car is having, According to the Magnusson-Moss act there is no way that they can void your entire warranty! The way it works is if you install an aftermarket exhaust, then you void the warranty for the exhaust. If you install an intake, you void the warranty for the intake...etc" Now, whether or not you want to get into a legal battle with what ever shop you go to is up to you. My recommendation is simple... KEEP ALL YOUR STOCK PARTS!!!! That way if there is an issue you cannot solve you can put the car back to stock before you take it in, and they cannot prove anything!

You can always remove the BOV before taking it to the dealership. Not a huge hassle if you do go the BOV adapter route just remember to not throw away the screws.

if the BOV results in a failure of the turbo or related components, then yes, the BOV killed the warranty. If your AC compressor stops working and you have a BOV, the BOV is not the cause and the AC is still covered. Installing a single aftermarket part doesn't void the warranty for the entire car. If you install an aftermarket part that leads to the failure of a factory part, or if the installation of the aftermarket part resulted in the removal and re-installation of a factory part and that failed, the aftermarket part will void the warranty for the failed parts. I have been modifying new cars since 2000 and never had any warranty issues. I have been asked to return some parts to stock configuration during a troubleshooting just to make sure the aftermarket parts didn't cause anything to go wrong. That was on my 2000 Focus in which it had a very strange electrical issue that took years to solve. Turned out to be a bad ground and had nothing to do with the aftermarket parts.
