Clutch pedal pin

I was driving one day and I heard a click then the clutch pedal started having issues with not coming back up all the way. After digging around down there for a bit I confirmed there were no leaks and it was just the plastic pin that attaches the clutch pedal to the push rod for the master cylinder. Does anyone have the part number for it so I can replace it? I did some digging and couldn't find it and it seems like Ford wants you to replace the whole dang thing. I'd even settle for a 3d print STL file. Here's the exact same kind of pin but for a BMW for reference. I might buy one of them to try it if I can't get the Ford part number.

Well none of the dealerships around me has one. I ended up getting a universal hitch pin and cotter pin from home depot and it works. I can't remember the size but you need a skinnier one since the thicker one fouls on the clutch position switch and stops you from starting the car.

I just wanted to say thank you for posting this.

the stupid plastic pin on my clutch pedal assembly busted when I was doing my master cylinder swap.

I was out test driving when the plastic pin busted. Luckily I was by a Menards, pulled in the lot, and searched on Google for a fix.

Your post on the forums came up and saved the day so big thanks to you!

I am going to buy one of these and keep it in the car just in case!

Yeah, THANK YOU Turbodhi! (Even though he has not been on here in over half a year).

Glad it helped you folks! The car is pretty bulletproof so I don't hop on the forums as much as I used to when I owned a 97 eclipse haha.

Just broke the tips of mine installing a new master cylinder. I added a dab of epoxy on the end so that it doesn't push out while I'm driving. Pin is still functionnal.

What size pin did you guys buy? I'll buy one just in case the plastic one does slip out.
