Ok I can't seem to find this. Since pseudo economy mode only adjusts wastegate and WOT fueling does it drop the octane requirement to 87 like the other non- performance maps?
In MN 93 is hard to find I'd like to have the piece of mind if I'm traveling with out my accessport I can switch over in a pinch. Being able to switch from stage 1 93 to 91 on the fly would be preferable but not worth the money for ATR. (I'm reading correctly that on the fly switching will only work for one performance mode and pseudo economy correct?)
Map switching allows you to have 5 different tunes loaded and switch between them on the fly with the cruise control buttons. You need to have an Accessport and use either off the shelf tunes or you can roll your own if you purchase the Accesstuner Race software. Pretty cool to switch between a high performance tune and a quasi ECO tune with just a couple button pushes while you are driving. Check out this video:

Actually, I see what you're talking about now and wonder if I'm wrong. I was speaking directly about the OTS economy map. Braden would have to clear it up to be sure.
What is the difference between the pseudo and economy map? And does the pseudo map come preloaded in the map switching with the new update?
I've been running a Mountune map so I haven't updated through Cobb since about 2 map revisions ago. I didn't know that LC had been enabled automatically under 10mph. That was fun finding that out....

The pseudo-economy maps limit boost but don't change the timing as far as I know. The full economy map will get you better MPG, but how much better is unclear and somewhat dependent on your driving style and conditions. The pseudo economy maps are not a function of the 2.0 firmware, but rather are loaded into slot 2 of all the 2.0 off-the-shelf maps from Cobb.
Convenience really. You can switch from high performance to a more economical map (and back) without even slowing down. If you want to find a place to stop and shut the car off, ECO will get you better milage. Then you have to stop again to get back to performance mode. I never loaded the ECO tunes for that specific reason.
As WScott said, so you can change back and forth while moving. Us non ATR guys can run our performance map for the hills then drop it to fuel economy on the flat lands and vice versa without stopping.
Im not sure with ATR if you can switch between full performance and full fuel economy or not, if so thats a good way to do it. But for those of us that just bought an AP only, we can choose two maps without stopping and turning off the car.
I have an eco-tune along with my FreekTune map in the other for slots, with varying LC rpms. This allows me the ability to have the eco-tune limit my lead foot along with the ability to choose a launch limit depending on the surface I'm on.
