Does anyone in the US have the Zunsport grille?

I'm surprised, but I haven't seen anyone with one of these grilles yet.

If you do happen to have it... pictures! All I can find is tiny, crappy photos, and I can't tell if I like them or not.

Was looking at this before, but couldn't find any better pics either. Looks like it'd be a lot easier than sanding away the OEM honeycomb if you want to provide some more airflow.

I'm afraid that someday, I'll have to be the guinea pig :) Cheapest prices I've found in the States are all on eBay. I was hoping I'd get lucky and Auto Specialists UK would stock it at some point (their shipping to the US is AMAZING), but no dice.

What is it made out of? The honeycomb on these cars is a detailing nightmare. Getting them clean and plastic protectant onto each one is a pain.

They are stainless steel, and the black grilles are more expensive than the silver - https://www.zunsport.com/us/fiesta-st-r17

They have a front upper, front lower, and rear.

If you guys keep slacking off, it might have to be me! If I can get away with it without my wife killing me after the shocks/struts, springs, wheels, and tires :)

This would be a great mod if you ever plan on getting the DHM crash bar and IC.

I just volunteered. Ordered the complete set (black) directly from Zunsport as the price was significantly less than from the ebay seller. I had checked and they confirmed fitment.

I'll post photos after install; probably a few weeks.

The question has come up about airflow to the fmic. Who knows, but the surface area of the mesh seems to be no greater than, and may be less than that of the plastic fins on the stock. Plus, with all the junk on the roads around here, increased protection is a definite plus. In really hot weather (I can only dream; today's windchill is 10f) I'll pull the grille.

Another advantage (for the stealthy-minded): there goes the last remaining "ST" badge on the car.

Stay tuned...

I have installed the lower front grill. It took a few modifications as the instructions call for it to be mounted outside the existing grill, which seemed like a really bad idea for airflow. So I removed the plastic grill and cut off the solid triangular ends, remounted them on the car, and then screwed in the Zunsport grill to those ends. The supplied screws are long, but do not get near the ic. I did not use the clips on the grill (they are too short and pull in the center of the grill out of line), but simply bent them up so as not to scratch the plastic lower bumper. Works fine so far: seems solid enough, lightweight, far better protection, with good airflow. I painted the vertical plastic mounts for the original grill matt black (black ic) and it looks great. I'll post a photo when I'm done.

Waiting to install the upper grill when I pull the nose off for some other work as it seems to be attached from the inside (unlike the Euro version which just pulls out).

Weird to think that they want you to essentially mount one grille on top of the other. Looking forward to seeing pics.

Fortunately, I no longer work in a field for which "If it isn't documented, it never happened." :)

I may be able to pull off the nose this weekend and finally get the upper grill installed.

Long story short: the grille does not fit. It is too wide (top to bottom) by 3/8" and there's just no way to make it work. There's also nothing for the screws at the bottom to screw into, but I'm confident that I could have fabbed something if the grille had fit.

I've emailed Zunsport, and will let you all know how they respond.

The front grille is too wide (top to bottom) by at least 3/8" to fit into the opening. Our USDM car really is significantly different in the front, probably due to the crash bar, which is important given how most Americans drive, ah, I mean text and drive.

Zunsport offered to refund the cost if I ship back to them, which is not the best solution as I need to find a suitable box and ship to the UK. Their quote to my original enquiry was: "I?m sure our Grilles will fit..." Not.

So I did manage to fit the lower front which works fine, and wish the upper would fit as it is both stronger and much lighter than the OEM. However, I don't see any way. Btw, our grille is held in place by a 2+" flange around the outside which does require removing the bumper to access.

That stinks...that's a slick looking grille.
