Does the Cobb Stage 1 tune have some kind of 'limp mode'?

I have been driving with a Stage 1 93 octane tune for months now with no issue. Two days ago my car felt extremely slow. I thought it was just heat. Yesterday, it felt the same sluggishness.

I got the AP out today and saw that the car was only boosing at 5psi max. I flashed the tune with a stage 1 91 octane tune and everything is fine. What was the problem?

you activated economy mode with cruise control you can switch maps using the buttons not really sure how to do it but I have done this to my car and thought that it was broke I did exactly what you did re flashed and all good.

The economy mode is kinda easy to accidentally switch into, especially if you're on the highway using cruise control. Hit the can/resume button and the rpms will jump to either 1k (performance) or 2k (economy) hit the +- to switch slots.

The latest AP firmware makes it so when cruise control is on, hitting the can/resume button doesn't access the map switch feature.

Damn I'm so glad this is on here. I just did this yesterday and was about to start searching the forums and FAQs. Imagine my surprise when I pull into the fast lane on the autobahn and punch it and the car doesn't move. I got passed by an old civic and my wife starts laughing at me -_- How did you guys take it off? Just reflash the stage 1? (I did exactly what you guys were saying. My cruise control set button felt weird so I turned it off and started pushing all the buttons to get it "unstuck". Pulled over and pull out the AP and saw it would only run up to 5psi of boost.

I'm having a similar issue with it only showing 6 PSI but the issue is that the tune is in the performance map and feels like it's making full boost. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

To fix the issue I started driving and push off on the cruise control. Then "can res" immediately followed by set -. Your tachometer will jump to 2k rpm I think it is and then your car should be fine. If it's not in eco mode or whatever then it's probably a loose inter cooler hose.

I'm thinking one or more of the clamps along the intake running through the inter cooler are probably loose. In fact the one clamp that's right after MAF sensor right at the top of the engine compartment was pretty loose. Was able to tighten it a couple of turns. So if that one was not tightened all the way somewhere along there has to be another loose. I found a picture guide to the location of the other clamps so I'm gonna take a look at those and report back

So an update, it turned out to be the wastegate actuator being faulty. Waiting for the part to come back in and the car should be good to go.
