Can you verify that your steering wheel locks?
There is a poll choice above.
I don't know whether the key fob needs to be in a Faraday bag or away from the vehicle.

If you're curious why I'm asking:
Haven't been able to get mine to lock.
(driver wheel was hit and forced hard-right while parked)

Thanks.

I don't believe there is a lock for the steering wheel. I push mine around in the garage all the time with no key. Just put the shifter in neutral, release the parking brake and roll it around.

Interesting. Since steering wheel lock was originally considered a security feature, does it make any difference if you leave the passenger door open, lock it using the remote or dash (enabling "PATS" aka the anti-theft system) and come back on a 15~20 minute delay with no remote or remote in Faraday bag? I've noted that it takes 15 minutes for the power windows and other systems to go offline.

Let's see what simulated intelligence has to say... (keeping in mind that it'll readily make stuff up and refuse to admit it until challenged on it)

Going to need to test this as it has me curious now. There has been many times the car has been in the garage for a week or more, driver side window down, no key fob in sight. I just reach through the open window without opening the door, car is already in neutral, undo the parking break and push the car around. Not once have I ever encountered the steering being locked.

I've sat in my car for several minutes to hours without the key and never had the wheel lock on me. And I also push my car around, again no key, and never had it lock
