Seems like a good plan! After a tune you should have a fun little car!

the AEM piggy back setup will be for E50 or Race Fuel purpose only, That's if I cant figure out a way to run E85 on a budget, I have overcome worst obstacles than this! On my race bike 04 GSXR1000 I was the first person to break 200whp on stock parts and 93oct pump gas and that was on my MustangMD dyno that always reads conservative, Took Same bike to D&D performance dyno and made 214whp. Keep in mind that's a N/A 1.0L motor on stock parts. Its all in tuning and overcoming obstacles. I don't like to sit around and let everyone else have all the R&D fun and then buy their products knowing I could have done it myself (maybe even better) and then moan and groan that no one offers us anything because our cars don't say EVO,STI,VTEC, etc.....There a lot cheaper faster cars I could buy but none at this moment that peak my interest the way this car does!!

If you end up doing this, I'm interested in picking your brain about this set up. When you build things your self you save a lot of money ! Many companies just charge us for the name. On my mr2 I built a custom air to water setup that only cost me a few hundred bucks to build. Most expensive thing was the core. Saved my self about 700 bucks. But like you said took a lot of overcoming obstacles, and a little of cutting and welding.

I also used a gm flex fuel sensor with my hydra nemesis ems which made tuning very easy and simple when it came to switching fuels. If our stock ecus were comparable to run a flex fuel sensor i think it would be a great idea to use with your piggy back setup. Just feel like all the work wouldn't be worth the outcome on our cars.

What do you guys think of mixing E15 with 91 oct? Could the car handle it with a Cobb 93 OTS map?

Heres a link that says "The pump octane rating may be as high as 98 with E15 if it is blended with a high grade gasoline"

I have had some conversations with Randy at Mountune and he does not recommend it. But I don't off hand recall why. I have however heard of folks tossing a gallon of good E85 in a tank full to bump the octane .. I'll wait till he gets the e30tune going personally . ;)

My e30 tune has be done for some while now. This tune is a must for anyone who wants more power the top end. Haven't had a chance to get it on the Dyno but when I do i will post up the numbers. My but Dyno thinks torque might be near the 300s based on how my 91 feels and the numbers I've seen other FiST post. I honestly won't know until I can get Dyno time.

Rodmoe - is your tune done?

I've ran e40 in my car since March. Have not ran one tank of 93 pure since then. I will go back to 93 for winter.
