Hi, all.

A couple of friends and I volunteered as Corner Marshals at this year's Rally in the 100 Acre Wood in central Missouri this weekend. We had a great time watching Travis Pastrana win the event in his Subaru, but our beloved FiST was well represented. Here are a few pics -

Cheers,

I was planning on making the trip down but at the last second could not. How was the event?

This was my first time to even spectate at a rally, let alone work at one, and I'm hooked. The competition was fierce, and we met some very nice local folks who hung out with us and visited. We weren't able to get to the Parc Expose or awards ceremony due to our work schedule, but that was okay. Just hanging out in the Missouri woods and watching the action was really worth it.

So spectators can't assist but other drivers can?

The rules prohibit spectators from helping, hence the comments on the video. As for other drivers assisting, good question. I don't know!

I find this an interesting contrast to European rally vids, which are plentiful on YouTube. Seems like spectators are all over accidents before the car even stops moving. Are the regulations different over there?

I'd love to go to one of these events or even enter in one down the road
