I dont the 30 more hp is enough to sway the VW and Subbie fans. People still see Ford as a Meh unreliable car company. I think in order to really compete here in the US with other awd sports cars is by making this car a bang for the buck awd sports car. The price has to be lower than Golf R and other awd sports cars for the simple fact that Fords cannot hold resale value.

With limited production, awd, and demand for hatchbacks....it will sell but it has to stay under 40k.

I think at the rumored price point of ($37,800) the new Focus RS is not going to have any problem what-so-ever selling...I think its a great value for what's offered...

Look how many focus STs sat in the dealerships. Dealers were dying to get rid of them when the fiesta came out. I had 3 different dealership sales men try to sway me away from buying a FiST to buy a FoST at a lower price and im not the only one many in the forums said the same thing.
But being that RS will be a limited amount i have no doubts i will sell out quick. But buy people who already own and that are in the know.

This is great that they finally bringing it to the states but unfortunately i won't be getting it not because of the price but because of its size. I love small cars and will wait for its little brother to arrive shortly after I hope.
I hope so....a Fiesta RS would be pretty slick and if it was a 2017 model it will fit in perfectly to take over my STs spot.

I believe the reason for this is because most folks knew the refresh for the new FoST was coming soon....

I still prefer the size of the FiST though ...

Well the FiST was the new hotness. In my area none of them seem to be having issues selling...the FoST may have been suffering from people waiting on the RS and AWD.

So now you get finally the new RS in the USA build in Saarlouis with german quality. Congrats.

It was a fantastic event today. It was the first time for me being at such a great event and it was
awesome to see Ken Block's live performance.

The car looks fantastic in real-life. Perhaps I will sell my FiST and buy the RS. But I must look how
expensive it will be in Germany.

And as I know the new Focus RS won't be limited because now it is availiable world-wide. But don't
take my statement as a fact. I hope it won't be limited and that enough of you guys in the USA can
get a RS.

Shame that the "Liquid Blue" paint we saw at Detroit won't be made available....But I do like Stealth Gray!

"Four striking exterior colors include Nitrous Blue, a vibrant four-coat metallic finish exclusive to RS, as well as Stealth Gray, Absolute Black and Frozen White. The car revealed in Cologne features the same special Liquid Blue color scheme first seen on the all-new Ford GT revealed last month at the North American International Auto Show."

I also noticed that hood vents are not present on the new FoRS ....

Probably noticed in the wind tunnel that the drop in bay pressure/temp doesnt justify any turbulence they may create. Im sure Ford has a good reason to not use them.

No problem. So you all can see some pictures that wasn't made for press and from someone who was live at the event.

Yes the car looks awesome. The more times I saw it my love for this car gets greater.
The first time I saw it was on monday but it wasn't allowed me to take some pictures.

Erection achieved.

The only thing making me flaccid is the thought of paying $40k for a HATCHBACK with only 300BHP.

Easily resolved with a tune! Plus from the XCAR video the cylinder head, HG, block are all strengthened from the normal 2.3
