"Ford plans to have its dealers install a tube to let leaking gasoline flow away from hot surfaces to the ground below the vehicle, the automaker told federal safety administrators.
The dealers also will update engine control software that will detect if pressure drops in the fuel injection system. If that occurs, the software will disable the high-pressure fuel pump, reduce engine power and cut temperatures in the engine compartment, according to documents filed with NHTSA."
