Damages3.jpg

4AM thing runs out and attacks my fist. Sure it lost the fight but did the damage

So I need to replace the intercooler, but can I repair the grill damage?

Looks like it scraped up your bumper too. Might want to call your insurance company.

Yea, called insurance first thing. Didn't file a claim yet though as my deductible is 1k. Don't want to get a ding on my insurance if I can avoid it. Plus I don't think they would spring for a cobb ic. I AM close to boomba though, maybe my insurance would take an estimate from them [twothumb]

I'm hoping to repair the lower bumper with field expedient diy. It's critter season and a new bumper might not last. Maybe some protection for the IC can be added.

Really sucks though

I wouldn't be overly surprised if the COBB intercooler was cheaper than a factory replacement one, I'd look into it. And if you're putting in a nicer intercooler you can easily take out the broken black grill when you have the bumper off, it just clips into place from the rear and you'll be showing off that new intercooler at the same time. I took mine off and love it!

Ouch, I would estimate that getting everything fixed would be close to 1k. Maybe look at getting some PPF on at least the bumper and lower grill portion? My 3M Ventureshield has held up well on it first summer.

+1 for the upgrade. Try going to a Ford Racing dealer for a quote and see if they can use a Mountune IC. It's probably cheaper than the OEM unit.

There's a used stock intercooler for sale on this site for sixty bucks shipped. Can't beat that.

Lol, u make me feel like Sensible Dad.
I bought the Cobb RMM from the guy selling the IC. It was at my house two days later, well packed and insured. Sensible!
