It is an interesting idea, but it is running off of the OBD II port. I'm sure things have come a long way with bandwith and information on the OBD II, but little text is not easy to understand at a glance. A needle pointing somewhere in a sweep is easier to follow if you mark the norms or set the orientation so the needle is straight up (usually means the gauge is cockeyed) is easy to see at a glance.

Depo makes good quality cheap gauges.

Who makes them?

I am all for quality, but "cheap" tends to leave the "quality" else where.

I've been looking at all different kinds of gauges. Some of them look fancy, but I question the quality based on price. Others don't look like much, but I know they are quality based on reputation, but they are also expensive.

I've seen that video for a mounting solution, but that is one gauge. I'd like a little more info.

I gotcha, I just like the mounting option, its sleek, and still lets the air thru, I know there are other gauges you can use for it, but yeah your right it only holds one at a time, so not much info

I have heard that the OBD-II based gauges might lack on accuracy and response time compared to stand alone gauges with dedicated sensors. I know that is not as important on a road car, but still something to consider.

Depo racing makes them. Same people that sell the cheapest quality IC and downpipe for our car. Look up depo gauges and the reviews say that all the tuners in Japan and such use the depo gauges because they have the internals of the defi gauges with the depo back plate. It is a $200+ gauge for $85. Their website doesn't look like much but I have their IC and DP and couldn't be happier. Haven't installed my boost gauge yet but it looks good also.

If I understand you correctly, Depo Racing gauges use Defi stepper motors and guts, but use Depo Racing housings and faces?

From what I read yes but I would look for yourself to confirm that by researching depo's gauges.
