Hi all, I (like plenty others) have the knock-knock when changing gear, and also harshly dabbing the accerator pedal to take up drive. I was wondering if anyone has changed out their dual mass flywheel to a solid plate one. Either in a track car or road car. It seems that changing the diff to a Quaife LSD one doesnt cure the insessant knock. Engine mountings changed (3) and no problems with driveshafts/bearings etc. Seems an ongoing issue with ST’s that hasn’t been cracked yet. Maybe it is ‘just what they do’ but there has to be a reason. I haven’t found anyone mentioning a flywheel swap yet, but have read dual mass flywheels clack into and out of gear..?.?.?.
