Hi,

my name is Holger and I just became member of this forum.
Since September, I call a 3-door panther-black 2014 Fiesta ST my own. She is my first Ford.
Concerning the German package, it's almost fully equipped, just two little things missing.
25 years ago (OMG), I spent a year in the US, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Southampton, New York.
During my studies in Germany, I also spent half a year abroad in Galway, Ireland or Eire, as the Irish say...
I'm working for an international german-based company as an MBA at HQs and spend currently 3 days/week in Warsaw, Poland, to help out at our subsidiary and train the local staff.

Hope to meet interesting people here...

Cheers

Holger

Wecome aboard Holger,
I hope you were treated well while in Iowa! I visited Germany (omg) 27 years ago and loved it. I have a friend teaching chemistry at Achen, and another in grad school somewhere over there. Poor memory. Any trips to the Green Hell in your Fiesta?
I'm new to this site also and I love how international it seems to be!
I'd be glad to give you my two extra doors if possible.
Steve

Thanks for your welcome.
[MENTION=1878]Corn Cobb[/MENTION]: Since I live about 40 Miles away from the Green Hell and am a regular spectator, I run each of my cars, since I live in this area, at least once over the track. So, of course, I did already chase the ST through the Green Hell. Due to the bankruptcy of the current owner, we all don't know whether the Nordschleife will stay open for tourist drives or not. So, I hope, I will get the chance to come back next year in spring and do some more turns...

Wow,
I didn't know about the bankruptcy. Even though I'll probably never get the chance to drive there, I've loved knowing that others do. Hope it gets sorted out.

Yeah, a couple of years ago, they rebuild everything up there around the F1-racetrack, introduced an Entertainment Park, that was almost not visited and had to close down, installed an expensive 300 km/h highspeed rollercoaster witch was injuring construction workers during testing, since the pressure capsules, that were supposed to speed up the carriage, exploded. People working in the near lost their hearing. So, the main attraction next to the racetrack, was under investigation and the German TUV security board never gave it's approval, since the constructors didn't manage to solve the problems. So, now, we have good looking ruins around the Nuerburgring.

If you're interested in more background info, there is a video with Englisch subtitles available...
Also, if you look for Nuerburgring Desaster english, there's lots of videos available...

So, after a long time not being active in this Forum, I like to give an update on my ST.
First of all, I upgraded the indoor lights to LEDs and added LED-stripes for the trunk. New car floor mats, ST footrest and belt pads complete the interior changes.

On the outside, my ST got stone chip protection on the hood, along the door sills and at the door edges as well as red car wrapping of the front spoiler, diffusor and red stripes on both sides.

Further, wind shields, new antenna, license plate LEDs , ghost shadow lights, and a brake light tattoo were added.

Under the hood, I switched the ST air filter box to the shorter and open box from ST200, switched the standard suction tube to a red one from Flofet, which lead to a Vmax increase of 10 km/h, and coated the motor cover and the lid of the air filter box.

Latest lucky shot was the purchase of the ST200 alloys

This year, some nice pics were shot of my ST while driving the green hell. I also had the chance to drive 5 laps the F1 Grand Prix racetrack. Experience of a life time... [emoji869]

Winter tire setup is Brock RC24 6,5x16 Offset 40 in black with 195/45 R16 84H Michelin Alpin A4 and TPMS. Last winter I tried red rim rings, but they tend to fly away during high speed. Good looking, but crap in the long run...

Is the 3-2-1... on the floor mats supposed to be what a stage start worker does when counting you down for the start of a special stage? [dunno]

No [emoji3] it's actually a thing between my wife and me. In Germany eBay advertises using a Countdown: 3,2,1 - Mine! In German 1 = eins rimes on mine = meins. So, we did not auctionate each other, but I like to express that way, that she is mine and vice versa.
And the license plate number is also 321[emoji6]

OK, cool. [coolsmile] (I was guessing on the easy/simple/obvious type of explanation first.)
