Hi Everyone!
I am a new(ish) Fiesta ST owner living in Detroit, Michigan! I picked up my 2017 ST in Magnetic (32k miles) with black wheels and grey Recaro seats this summer after the maintenance costs had become too much on my beloved 1992 Volvo 740 wagon (my first car). At the time of purchase, it already had a Cobb exhaust, Rallyarmor mud flaps and an eibach rear sway bar. That's all I know of, but I wouldn't be surprised if the previous owner was stage 1/accessport given the other parts. Unfortunately, I couldn't get this stuff as I bought it off a Subaru dealer. Can't image what car he went for...
As for me, I'm a college student at Wayne State University in Detroit studying journalism and public relations. I'm also on the swim team here, and write for an automotive news website called musclecarsandtrucks.com. Feel free to check it out! All of my work is under "Sam George." This is my second car and first time learning to drive manual, so learning that without destroying the clutch was this summer's constant project. Now, I feel like I'm very confident, just having trouble with heel/toe due to the brake/throttle offset we all know about.
For now, I really have no plans for mods. An exhaust is the only thing I'd really want, and this car already had the Cobb system that I'm very happy with. While I miss my Volvo, there's no denying this is a fantastic car... better than my dad's DSG VW GTI (oops). Happy to be part of the community! Anyone else on here from the Detroit area? Also curious to see if any of you are as irritated at I am with the brake dust this thing produces, and if you've swapped pads.
