Hey all! So I've been looking for a new car for awhile now. I've wanted something quick, fun, and decently efficient. I've looked at G37s or other used luxury sedans. Looked at compact cars with 2.0 engines, Mazda 3, Civic, focus. And while looking at focuses, I stumbled onto the fiesta st. That day I went for a test drive with one at my local dealer.

I liked it but it was rush hour and I couldn't really open it up. It also didn't have recaro seats which I want. So I passed on that one. Since I've been watching used listings for it. I'm mostly seeing 14's with around 25k miles with various options, all of them are listed for around $17-18k.

So here I am. I'm 99% sure this is the car I'm going to get but I still have some questions.
- Since it's a fairly new car, is anyone knowledgeable on its reliability post-warranty? Like the tranny, turbo, or any other expensive fixes?

- I've seen people lease them on this forum, what type of residual value are they generally put on?

Good to meet you all, and thanks!

I have a 2014 and it's been trouble free so far. If you find one with around 25k miles you won't have any issues.

Don't know if you found one yet but I was in a similar boat and decided just to go with a new one. With the rebates Ford has had lately plus 0%, a new one wasn't much more than the couple used models with 15-25K miles I've seen locally (I'm also in Olathe) that were 17-19K$

The selection is kinda thin, seems like the dealers in and around JoCo don't like to order them but I know Thoroughbred up by the airport almost always has one (that's where I got mine, they were ok).
