Here by us it's afternoon already. My name is Elise, proud owner of brand new FiST. I'm all smiles, this car is soooo much fun! What a pleasure to drive!! This is my 15th car [:I]. I had a Cooper S before which gave me endless power steering problems and eventually I gave up and traded it in on a Juke Turbo. Losing the Mini was the end of the world for me, didn't think any other car could give me so much joy, especially when it comes to handling. The Juke was written off in June by an Indian Lady Driver who skipped a traffic light with under 30 000 kms on the clock. It was a sad day but I overcame my sadness very quickly when I realized I could get a FiST [giggle]. Couldn't fall asleep at night, waiting for my new car to arrive and when I got it I still could not sleep from excitement. My biggest fear now is that somebody will damage my car... I even wash it myself [unbelieveable]. Planning to do the suspension with my Dec bonus, can't wait.

I know the feeling, I too would like to put on some Eibach springs, but first I am going to do a full exhaust and an induction during the course of next month [cool], as it is with the standard ride height and the splitter i have on it is sometimes a mission getting up or down certain pavements [facepalm]

Oh "lekker" for you ;-) Keep us posted.... After suspension I would also like to play with the power a bit but first want to see how it will affect the warranty.

Welcome!

I agree that the stock height is relatively low compared to other cars but I didn't really have problems with the Eibach drop. It's not as aggressive as some other springs. It also improves acceleration, handling, and the ride a bit. However, I do backup when I park like at least 90% of the time though...

Thanks for your message! Is the Eibach suspension very hard?

No, actually they soften up the bumps compared to the stock springs and take away some of that extra bounce. IMHO they work better than oem springs with the oem struts in every way.

I must warn you though that it will still feel sporty and you will still feel bumps. The springs just soften them up a bit while improving the performance.
