Here's a super stupid question... WTF is a muffler delete?

I mean... I know *what* it is, but is this something someone is selling or are people just getting the muffler cut out and straight pipe welded in or what?

Not something someone is selling. You just remove the muffler from the system and weld in straight pipe in its place.

Did this on my 99.5 audi a4b5 1.8t running a k04, kept the resonator, sounded nice...
