How to stop the double honk when you close the door when it's running

Hold the key in your hand by the door pillar when you close the driver's door. It won't honk.

You can leave the key in it, like in a cupholder. But then you risk locking the door and not being able to get in. That double honk is a warning.

One of the antannae are up by the mirror, attached to the headliner. All of your keyless features, including security & starting, quit working when the headliner is removed.

Or just leave the fob in your pocket and only close the door to the first click. If you engage the initial latch and not the full mechanism, it won't honk. I do this all the time... it works beautifully.
