Hello all, I've been pretty confused lately about the roof rack world. It seems like people are piecing different parts together, but mostly to haul bikes. I'm looking for a way to haul lumber that won't fit inside the FiST. My other option is to remove the passenger seat, but I'd rather just have the roof rack. I just have no clue where to start with all the different types/styles out there. Any help will be appreciated!

Lumber? I'd say you need a trailer hitch

Unfortunately I'm lowered. That's gotta be a killer for any kind of towing. I'm not talking very large amounts of lumber either. Think 2x4's that are about 8' long. And since it's exotic wood, I won't be loading up too many boards.

I picked up this Rola rack from amazon for around $200 shipped. The bars are thin extruded aluminum and the feet are plastic so it's not the most heavy duty rack but I'd say it's good for up to 60 lbs or so.
