I don't do Apple except in a pie. Once Ford replaced my 2016 Sync 3 system that could not be updated in 2019 I have an occasional glitch but all in all happy with the Android Auto and I am fine with touching a screen a few times. Far from perfect but the Sync 3 Sony is not bad in a 20K car. Just cannot see spending thousands on a new system then tons more trying to reduce noise levels. Serious listening is done at home, car audio is to supplement the joy of driving and bad sing along! I see sometimes on startup that updates have been completed via Wi-Fi so it is transparent as it should be.
