I use my Flir regularly and do exactly what you've done. If I see a huge diff in temps on one wheel it makes me curious. Same for my electrical panel (and finding fresh dog poop in the yard). One of the most valuable troubleshooting tools around.

All the neighborhood cats like to sit on my hood - now I know why!
