Intake box after Ford dealership

I had the coolant tank recall done. Dealership had my 14' FiST for 2 weeks. Noticed this macgyver job on my airbox once I got it back...

What's going on here??

Part of the recall required removal of the air intake tube along with the crossover pipe and then reinstallation with some new clamps and restraints.
I am surprised that they did not reject your car until you put it back to OEM or charge you an extra fee because your car was modified.

Seems like a reasonable middle ground of completing without too much complaint.
