After recently replacing my IC, I'm thinking about changing the grill or leaving it off all together, what do you guys think?.

The OEM look.

The Butch, I've got a big black one look.

The Ricer look, diamond mesh just cable tied on for the picture. The mesh can be painted different colours.

I don't think it'll look ricer myself if it's done well.
It keeps your IC even more low profile and at least some of the bugs away from the fins.

I've always recommended mesh to most of my friends running turbo simply for best protection against intercooler.

I just removed the bottom grill to show off mine. Thinking of removing the vertical slats and touching up the ends to make it look nice.

61FEB102-2DED-4A4F-A863-1B44678483D3_zpshs4gt3to.jpg I like the mesh idea op as then it would match the upper better just on a smaller scale. Me I'm planning on removing it, the vertical strakes and then plasti dipping the area black. That way I can still pop the grill back in when returning to stock to sell it warranty work etc. And let's not kid ourselves that flimsy factory plastic crap aint doin much of anything in the form of debris protection.
Fwiw as you can see above on the right I ran my 2013 mustang with completely open upper&lower grills. Ala gt500 style for 2+ years in Atlanta traffic everyday on racetracks etc without any major impacts or issues.

i like the butch look a LOT. I might have to do that now. mesh looks kinda cool too but might be overkill.

Mesh, I want the mesh
The aluminium mesh I chose to use has no strength or rigidity. I think stainless would be better if I could find a suitable size.

Butch looks good, for the mesh I would try mounting it from behind so you don't see the edges.

Yea the edges are a problem and super sharp after to cutting size, the reason I used the trim on the outer edge that spoils the look so maybe I will try it from behind but I really need to play outside for a while, lol.

For the time being I'm sticking with the Butch look.

Cheers mate, the bumper plastic is easy to cut but a pita to sand smooth to get rid of the burrs. Use a very fine blade saw is my advice.

Does the black trim just pop off from the front or do you need to take the bumper off to remove it?
