So where do i begin modifying my ST. Do i start with the wheel and tire package?Do i start with performance?if so what performance part do i get first?.

Well it's your choice on where you want to start and where you want to end. I'd say most people would recommend a RMM (rear motor mount) to start, it helps clean up the shifting. If you want a more comfortable ride, a 16" wheel and thicker tire will help with that. For style it's personal preference and there are a good amount of options that can make your FiST yours!

If you're looking for more power, you can get a bit more fun out of the car with an intercooler, air filter, AP, and then a tune from either stratified or dizzy tuning.

Rear Motor Mount/ RMM. Then go from there....whoosh....Boomba.....MOUNTUNE all sell mounts. Read up on the +'s and -'s of all there is Tons of info with the search button....so pack a lunch and start expanding your Brain storage.

Ok. So i have decided to go with the Whoosh Mount. have any of you tried their short shifter kit?. Also they have the race and the street spec mounts for the same price. Which one should i grab?

Depends on how much interior vibration you are willing to live with. The race spec will cause more vibrations than the street spec. Both will be more stiff than the stock mount. A great review can be found here: https://www.fiestastforum.com/threads/whoosh-rmm-review.20500/

Yea i red that review. But what does he mean by interior vibration?will it make the ride louder?. I am planning on building the crap out of this so is that something to consider.

It means at idle and low speeds the car will shake more because the mount holding the motor is more stiff. That energy transfer thus gets transferred throughout more of the car.

Drive it for a while and you’ll get a feel for what you want to change. Come back in here and cross reference your ideas with members in here or just read. There is a wealth of data and feedback in here on anything you will consider doing to your car

I run the Moutune because I got it in the FB3 package Mountune Airbox wiht Filter, Mountune RMM, COBB AP3 with custom tunes by Randy of Mountune. Mountune FMIC ( newer larger bar and plate model)
All for $1079 plus tax on sale. It was hard to pass up the deal on the package do the math. Sold the Mountune Airbox for $250 used the cash to pickup a ST200 box and Revo filter!

All for $1079 plus tax on sale. It was hard to pass up the deal on the package do the math. Sold the Mountune Airbox for $250 used the cash to pickup a ST200 box and Revo filter!
How is the bar and plate version working out? I had the tube and fin for years.

I wil find out shortly, supposedly it will work fine with the MRX according to Mountune. They sell it in a kit with it now. Oh and SirSinclairs new to him car came with it and a MRX he has had no problems charge temp wise. He is in San Diego
I was going to sell it but people are being cheap and trying to shave down my quite reasonable asking price to much.I figured to hell with it , its CARB approved, its warrantly friendly might as well toss it in. I am putting it and the Mountune radiator in probably sometime next week.

I went with a CPE just to be on the safe side since I’ll be over 300hp. I can’t say enough about how great the radiator performs btw. 🥶

I will probably be going a similar route as u. Just taking longer for me.., lol. The Mountune intercooler is smaller that others on the market i think. Wonder if it fits easier? Going with the Revo filter soon. Thanks for the tip.

Its why Mountune USA changed it out for a bigger bar and plate. No one ever bothered documenting it here as Mountune never changed their web page blurb and it still states Tube and Fin. I found out after purchasing and noticing it and asking and counting the number of bars. It has mor bars than the old tube and fin had tubes. So its basically got a larger core.
Not saying you should buy it as there are a lot of options intercooler wise when it comes to Bar and Plate. I just got the deal on mine and if i was going to swap it I would want collect at least $425 for it unused plus shipping. Everyone keeps om trying to cheap on the shipping. Its a big item it costs to ship it.

So your saying that the Mountune intercooler is the same size as the Cobb intercooler and the generic “Cobb size” intercooler? I also read that they are lighter in weight. Also, are you having cooling issues with your tune with a stock intercooler? What are you going to upgrade with?
