Hey everyone,

I’ve got a quick question about the MOT test and was hoping someone here could clarify.

When it comes to things like minor cracks in the windshield or slightly worn tires, how strict are the testers?

Are there specific measurements they follow, or does it depend on the tester’s discretion?

Also, if a car fails, do I have to get it repaired at the same garage, or can I take it elsewhere?

Would appreciate any insights from those who’ve been through the process recently.

What country are you talking about? You display a US flag but your location says Armenia. The only country I've heard the term MOT from is the UK.

In UK windshield cracks larger than 10mm in the Zone A (drivers line of sight) or 40mm elsewhere are cause for failure. Tread depth less than 1.6mm is also cause for failure.

Google Search is your friend.

Maybe Armenia copies the UK in that it has a Ministry Of Transportation setting inspection laws/regulations??
