Long shot here, as I know everyone's car is gonna be different, but I figured I'd ask anyway...
I have a VERY loud and intrusive rattle coming from the driver's side air vent area on my 2015. It seems to come on the most when the engine is between 2500-4000 RPM (so, like, 90% of daily driving), but if I place my hand on top of the vent area (on the soft dash part) or press inwards from the defrost vent area, it will pretty much go away. As soon as I remove my hand, it comes back.
I have already removed the vent itself, and the rattle persists, so I know it's not just a broken clip in the circular vent thing. Shame, as that would have been an easy fix! I wrapped the vent with some foam tape when I put it back in, to see if the little bit of extra pressure would help, but it did not.
Has anyone had this same issue before, or does anyone have any suggestions on where to look for anything loose or broken? I LOVE the car, but this is making me hate to drive it, so I'd love to figure out a solution.

Current ideas:
- Open up the dash from the side, where the panel under the defrost vent is, and poke around?
- Try to attack it from underneath, although the noise is VERY much on the top of the dash?
- Remove the vent again, and try to spray some foam insulation stuff in there and hope for the best?
- Try to rig up some way to keep pressure on the dash from when the door is closed, like a rubber bumper or something?
