Hi everyone,

I'm new to here but have had my mk7 St-2 5dr for a year, although recently, I have noticed an abnormal change in the steering. It's becoming really weighted and heavy, but isn't accompanied by -

- knocking
- lights on dash
- creaking

And my tyre pressure is accurate. I had my wheel alignment done very recently as well and a new track rod fitted too.

It started the other week, and the only thing I could associate too is that I drove it hard one night, but I always do πŸ˜… and haven't encountered this issue before.

Any help would be appreciated 😁
Car has only done 40k miles and is 17 plate

Is it a stock battery? The assist motor draws quite a bit of amperage and your battery could just be going...

TyphoonFiST is right that it's not a common post.
Grsemky makes a great suggestion.

Read the codes from the ECU.
It's considered a safety item so under certain conditions EPAS will limit function and set a code.
Search the forum for "EPAS".
