Hey guys,
I've been reading through your forum since before I purchased my Fiesta ST back in March, so a long time stalker, first time poster!
I reside in the UK, in a small town on the south coast.
Growing up over here, naturally, I fell in love with Europe's offerings of fast versions of little hatchbacks since way back when. Once I'd finished university and I could afford a car worth talking about, I got a Renaultsport Clio 197 Cup and let me tell you, you all are missing out on French hot hatches! What an animal of a car.
It drove like nothing else - a 2.0l n/a that revs to 7500 and produces just shy of 200bhp, weighing a little over 1000kg, Recaro buckets, lightweight Speedline wheels and beefy Brembo brakes, all as standard! But, sadly, being a French hot hatch it wasn't without it's problems. It always ran, but there was always something which meant it wasn't perfect, and never getting more than 30mpg out of it with our fuel prices here, it had to go.
So in March, I parted it for a brand new Fiesta ST-2 in Frozen White (Oxford White to you??)
I have to say, I love it. It's probably the only new hot hatch here that still drives with the lively character of the older generations.
I am a member on a UK forum but I am always reading into what you're all up to in the States as there seems to be a bigger push for performance products. They're slowly trickling into Europe but some can't come soon enough!
Here she is for a brief stationary moment on one of my favourite driving roads - the Buttertubs Pass (Google it!)
Cheers guys
James
