Sup brah. Just picked up a FiST last week and loving every minute i drive it. Traded my 2012 Golf Tdi. I am an avid car guy who loves things that go fast. First fast car was a Caliber SRT sold that for an '04 Z06 sold that for a 2013 C6 and traded down to my Tdi. Looking forward to some track time with this after basic breather mods, tune and coilovers.

Tell us more about your old rides. :)

I'm interested in what you think of the ST after owning the c5 z06 and the c6.
I sold my c5 and bought the fist once my daughter was born. After doing some canyon runs, I have just as much fun in the fist as the vette. As far as practicality, the fiST also wins as I have to haul a lil kid-o to daycare everyday and I pretty much sold the vette because it was the model year before you could turn off airbags.
As far as cool factor though, cant beat the bang for buck of the vettes.

Congrats on the new ride!

I loved the Z06 and C6. I had another car that i daily drove so transport for the kid wasnt a big deal. As fro a comparison between the FiST and the vettes i actually prefer driving the FiST at 9/10ths compared to only being comfortable driving the vettes at 6-7/10ths because of them being much easier to wreck while also being much more expensive to replace parts for. The vettes were obviously faster but the FiST is confidence inspiring due to how well it does basically everything. I bought the FiST because i was afraid to track the vette so much that i ended up never actually doing it. I will have no problem tracking the fist. Just have to get it through the break in first :)

This next part is going to be pic and vid heavy... I know, i know wall of text but if youre a car guy you might enjoy some of it.

1st fast car 300whp/300wtq Caliber SRT fastest ran in the 1/4mi 13.5 @ 10?.? It was back in 2008 when i was a young buck so cant remember exactly... Car was a highway beast. Smoked a lot cars you wouldnt think it would. Handled like dog turd even with all the body bracing available and BC coilovers. Interior was crap but smoking dudes in vettes, ms3 and wrx/sti. It was great. would recommend to anyone not wanting to turn but go super fast in a straight line.

Sold that car for the 04 Z06 (Z16 package with factory CF hood and Polished wheels and Factory stripe package to look like the le mans car that won 2 first place finishes that year.) Car was an absolute blast. Its is something else to drive a car that is built from the ground up to be a sports car. Having a fast car based on a production car does not compare in any way shape or form. Handled awesome and was a looker. I/H/E, Lowered on stock bolts. If i had it over to do again i would have kept the Z06 over the new C6.

Had to change the pop up lights. Couldnt stand them.

Trading the old for new...

The 2013 C6 was also a great car. Much more refined than the Z06 but as i would later realize i actually like the more raw feeling of the Z06 than the updated car. Same as the Z06 it was very fast and very comfortable to drive. It made power in a different way than the Z06. Maybe it was the gearing or just the updates to the motor i am not sure.

pfadt made cool stuff. I was bummed when they went out of business. I went to Spring Mountain in Pahrump Nevada and they were showing off some of the stuff they were developing like a carbon fiber drive shaft and I always wanted to buy their coilovers..... oh well.

Looks like you have definitely had some fun in different rides. Welcome to the forum!!!
