Noisy clutch pedal driving me nuts...

Its a heavy groaning noise with vibration I can feel in the foot going down and coming up, obviously its got stuff rubbing that needs lubrication.

Do I just get under there and spray white lithium grease all over the contact points or is there a better way to do it?
