Hello everyone and thanks for your time.
Anyway, I was hoping to find some cost-effective apps and/or associated obd equipment to let me view real-time parameters (primarily engine oil temp but others as well), preferably on the touch screen (have a '17 Fiesta ST) or else on my phone if not. (I'm using an Android phone).
Since I live in Phx (110+ temps in summer), I'd like to know how hot my oil is getting if I push it, especially with AC on.
(Starting to consider mods, but that's another story for another day.)
Thanks again!

Oil temps displayed is not "real" anyway, it's calculated by the ECU from several other signal like the coolant temp, the load of the engine, etc etc. Your coolant temp will be more relevant in your case.

If you're starting to consider mods, you should go with an accessport straight from the beginning and skip the OBD2 dongle that you can pair with you phone.

All of the current, (even on the shelf at Wally's brands) full synthetic labeled oils will handle the highest oil temps our engines will ever see (unless you are open tracking it every day in that heat) without substantial breakdown/shearing from heat alone.

Just be sure to change it out often (like less than 5K miles, even though many think that is a total waste) if you are worried/paranoid about that non-issue.
