Opinion On Datalog

It's the WOT I'm curious about in relation to the boost. Hunting a "down on power" problem and eyeing my boost. I've scratched up my hands repeatedly checking all clamps and what not. My only guess is the BOV with the GFB Diverter Valve. A lot more whooshing noise when flooring that were never there before. I currently have the GFB VTA shipping in but if there's anything else you'd recommend checking.

Getting squared away before I proceed with a tune with Randy(Tunewerks). I sent over a stage 0 date log and he stated based off the log I'm around 150 when I should be in the 170s.

Need a log with RPM, Ign Timing on a couple cylinders, Oct Adj Ratio Lrn, Ign Correction on a couple cylinders, Wastegate Duty Cycle Base and Final, and Coolant Temp. Ideally attaching or linking a log file with these values would be ideal. If you have crappy gas, boost leak, high ECT, all will effect power. If you have a OCtane Learn less than -1 you are having knock issues. Also can verify with ign corr. during a pull. WGDC sometimes will show if you have a boost leak too. A boost leak tester will be the best/definitive answer to your possible boost leaks. Also you D column looks like AFR. You have stock intercooler and intake?

This is for Stage 0. I tried getting a better shot on Excel but not subscribed to view the whole log. Data Zap is what I'm using so hopefully this provides some better info. A very hot day today here in Florida so I tried my best to drive a bit before the pull to cool down everything. This is on a stock intercooler and intake.

This chart shows boost pressure, RPM, WGDC, OCT ADJ stayed 0.11 throughout. Ignition correction for all four stayed with each other.

Boost pressure peaked at 19.63. At the very beginning, it's fairly quick to boost, then drops and then slowly holds boost to 19.

It always felt a bit sluggish or at least "bumpy" when it comes to WOT. Is that a normal waste gate procedure?

Its hard for me to really tell what is is going on without being to tab through the different values and put the whole picture together at once. But based on a hot day in florida with a stock intercooler that might be all the stock car can give. Boost pressure is about what i would expect and there isn't any out of the ordinary wastegate duty cycle behavior going on. With the weird noises you described I'd still find a place that can do a boost leak test for you.

Octane ADJ sitting around .11 isn't ideal unless Randy's base flash is more aggressive base timing and lets the computer take out. I haven't kept up on tuning styles of the popular tuners anymore. I'd be curious to check intercooler piping and intercooler for engine oil. Having a steady ingestion of that into the engine will kill timing and power.

@thecman02 Here is a link to the full data log. And this is the stage zero log from Cobb. He wants to look at this and then go ahead with his actual tunes. I went ahead and checked boost hosing and what have you and only saw a bit of oil residue but not sure what's too much. I had a MK6 TDI and a Saab 900 with the same results but not sure if you're not supposed to see any in the Fiesta. Oil level is looking good.

A lil oil residue is to be expected. Definitely doesn't feel like that would be your issue.

Looking at this log, and plotting it out on virtual dyno is giving me numbers I would expect. Charge air temp is gross, but you have a stock intercooler in Florida. I would nab an intercooler before paying to be tuned. You won't be able to get any more timing or boost with that going on.

@thecman02 Thank you for your efforts and time. It definitely makes the car feel just like a muggy and humid Florida day. If heat soak is looking like the culprit, then I'll probably snag the CP-E off of Whoosh. I even had it in the cart with the memorial day discount contemplating it. Dang it.
